This summer, Montage Kapalua Bay unveils the Champagne Hale at Cliff House, a new collaboration with Veuve Clicquot. An effervescing flute of fine Champagne, a calm sea breeze, a setting sun with nothing but ocean before it—it’s the scene you might dream of while planning your next trip to Hawaii and luckily the experience has been made all the more possible thanks to a new partnership between Montage Kapalua Bay and Champagne house Veuve Clicquot. Starting June 29 and running through September 3, the Cliff House venue—a tucked away marvel set atop an ocean bluff with waves musically crashing below—will be transformed into a one-of-a-kind pop-up Champagne Hale (meaning “house” in Hawaiian and pronounced “hah-leh”) with delectable light bites and, of course, an ample supply of Veuve Clicquot. Named Champagne Hale at Cliff House, the exciting limited time venue is one in a series of Clicquot Destinations, which also include the popular Après Lounge & Beach Club at Montage Deer Valley. Surrounded by the Pacific, the stunning locale in Maui is a perfect match for the unparalleled aperitif. Visitors to the Champagne Hale will also be able to enjoy a curated menu of perfectly paired fare. Options include osetra caviar with Molokai sweet and Yukon gold potato, gaufrettes, creme fraiche and chive; classic tuna poke with limu (Hawaiian seaweed), soy, ginger, avocado, ocean salad and taro chips; Surfing Goat cheese & Kula strawberries with local honey and grilled baguette; oysters on the half shell with Champagne mignonette and calamansi (a citrus fruit); and tropical fruits including Maui pineapple, Molokai papaya, local mango and li hing mui (salty dried plum). The elevated oasis is further enhanced with the offering of Veuve Clicquot Rich, a new Champagne meant for mixology that is making its debut in Hawaii. The sparkling libation is paired with a range of flavors that bring new excitement to the classic favorite. The Champagne Hale will feature the Rich pineapple cocktail, a delightful mix of grapefruit bitters, pineapple sorbet cubes and Veuve Clicquot Rich that is garnished with a mint sprig, a candied grapefruit wheel and pineapple fronds. Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label, Rosé, La Grand Dame and La Grand Dame Rosé will also be served. With the addition of the Champagne Hale at Cliff House this summer, island living at Montage Kapalua Bay gets a scintillating twist.
