PROVIDING SHELTER BENEFIT RAISES $30,000 FOR THE PET RESCUE CENTER On Oct. 7, more than 250 guests headed to Seven-Degrees to support The Pet Rescue Center, a nonprofi t animal rescue group that provides temporary sanctuary and care for homeless pets in need. The center is headed by Laguna Beach locals Dr. Matthew Wheaton of Alicia Pet Care Center and his wife Blythe. The third annual benefi t raised $30,000 through a silent auction, ticket sales and generous donations. Guests enjoyed a meet and greet with some of the dogs available for adoption during a rooftop cocktail hour, then headed indoors for dinner, moving speeches and live music from the Boogaloo Assassins. —Micaela Myers MARK DRAPER, ANNETTE JOHANSSON AND HEIDI DRAPER PHOTOS BY JIM COLLINS WITH LUCKY THE DOG CASEY OLIVER AND KATIE WINTER ARTIST LANI WOODS OPEN DAILY AT 8:30 A.M.
