Photo by Tom Knapik We couldn’t be more optimistic about the year ahead with so many of our members reporting that they feel they are in a stronger business position than they were a year ago. Hard work, dedication and perseverance are continuing to show the fruits of their labor and the same is true for the Chamber. Thanks to the involvement and resolve of our members, volunteer leaders and dedicated staff, 2011 was a great year celebrating numerous milestones, a record year for membership and several distinguished awards and recognitions. Our primary focus for 2012 will continue to be on membership engagement and retention and ensuring we provide the greatest possible return on investment for our members. We have  improvements and additional staff resources to ensure we continue to meet the changing needs of our membership. We will continue to focus on important public policy concerns such as transportation and water resources as well as educating businesses and residents alike about the importance of buying local with our McKinney First campaign. The elections that take place in   ensuring we have informed voters and stronger voter turnout. Whether it is through our weekly networking event called LINKS, as an advertiser in McKinney Magazine, as an attendee at our annual women’s conference, as a sponsor of the Governors Small Business Development Forum, as a YP Member or as a Leadership McKinney alum or program participant, we look forward to your active engagement in the Chamber and our community this year. We have made some significant changes for the coming year which allow as o in technological improvements and additional staff resources to ensure we continue to meet the changing needs Of our membership. We will continue to focus on important public policy concerns such as transportation and water resources as well as educating businesses and residents alike about the Importance of buying local with our McKinney First campaign.
